A Staircase and a Chandelier
8:10You've probably seen plenty of spiral staircases and plenty of chandeliers in your life. But I doubt any have looked quite as cool as this photograph of the new cylindrical light in Edinburgh's Usher Hall. Here's another view:
The light, designed by Spiers + Major, is comprised of fluorescent tubes encased in 45 total feet of acrylic cylinders, a clever way to light the entire staircase and keep mounting and cable routing headaches to a minimum.
